As we begin this new school year, we want to extend a heartfelt welcome back on behalf of the Trustees and the Senior Team. We hope you’ve had a summer filled with rest, joy, and moments of reflection.

Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board and Bluewater District School Board, in partnership with Pine River Institute, will be hosting five webinars on Positive Parenting.

The Council of Ontario Directors of Education (CODE) is seeking a consultant(s) to assume the role of the Provincial Human Rights and Equity Advisor(s) (HREA(s). The Consultant(s) would provide expert human rights guidance and training to Directors of Education, other senior leaders and Trustees to build their capacity to handle emerging and complex human rights issues. The role would be fully virtual.

Shared School Services - Transportation is excited to introduce the First Rider Program, a school bus safety initiative, happening this summer. This program is designed to familiarize young students and parents with school buses and safety rules.

In accordance with Ontario Regulation 361/10, the Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board (BGCDSB) is seeking a community member with financial expertise and business knowledge to serve on its Audit Committee for a three-year term beginning in October 2024.

Other types of services may be required as deemed appropriate through consultation with the Board. It is the contractor’s responsibility to obtain permission to enter and obtain video of all locations and appropriate persons.

Hanover - Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board Announces its new Director of Education

The Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Karyn Bruneel as the new Director of Education, effective August 1, 2024. Karyn is an experienced leader in Catholic Education and becomes Director of Education as the Board prepares to announce its new 2024-2027 Strategic Plan next month.

BGCDSB adjusted the April PD day so that it will be held on Monday April 8th as a result of the timing of the Solar Eclipse in our area. Please note April 26 will be a regular school day. You can learn more about the solar eclipse and how to experience it safely here!
