Our schools are more than places of learning, they are vibrant community hubs. The Community Use of Schools program opens school spaces to community groups, organizations, and partners to support recreation, learning, wellness, and connection. Whether you’re hosting a class, running a program, or planning a community event, we’re here to help bring your ideas to life.Community Use of Schools allows approved community groups and individuals to use school facilities outside of instructional hours for activities that benefit the broader community.

The Bruce Grey Catholic District School Board has a new and easy-to-use online registration system called Xplor Recreation

How It Works

To book a BGCDSB facility or register for a program, all applicants must create an account on Xplor Rec

Account Requirements:

• Payment Information: to request a booking you must upload a valid Visa or Mastercard for applicable fees

NOTE: Accepted payment method for all Community Use of Schools permit application fees is via credit card or e-transfer.

• Insurance: Users must provide a valid Certificate of Insurance with a minimum of $2 million liability coverage naming the “Bruce Grey Catholic District School Board” as an additional insured, providing coverage for the dates requested in the permit application and noting the activity being insured. Community Use operates on a cost-recovery model to support facility operations.
