"We are deeply grateful to the Ministry of Education for their investment, which directly supports the academic growth, spiritual development, and well-being of young people across Bruce and Grey counties."
The new three-storey facility will serve as a modern replacement for the current St. Mary's Catholic High School, offering dedicated space for 1,012 secondary students.
Jaime Plantz, Superintendent of Business, highlighted the rigorous operational process behind the milestone. "Reaching this stage is the direct result of competitive public procurement and sound fiscal stewardship," Plantz said. "Receiving provincial approval to proceed represents a major operational commitment to delivering a state-of-the-art facility that will bring exceptional value to the Owen Sound community for decades to come."
