Message From The Director - April 2026
A Message from
the Director
Welcome to the inaugural edition of CommUnity.
When we sat down to name this publication, we wanted something that captured the dual nature of our mission. Comm represents my commitment to Communication and the strength of our Community. Unity reminds us of our higher purpose: to act as one cohesive body, inspired by our faith, to serve the students in our care.
As your Director of Education, I see my role as orchestrating the vision and strategy of our board, ensuring that our resources, policies, and spirit are aligned with the Gospel. However, leadership in a Catholic system is an act of stewardship, not a solo performance. While I am responsible for the direction we take, the impact you see in these pages is the result of the tireless work of our Superintendents, our Principals and Vice-Principals, our staff, and our volunteers.
Transparency as a Path to Excellence
I believe that as your Director, I have a primary responsibility to report back to you on the impact of the work I am orchestrating. This newsletter is designed to be a transparent window into how we are delivering on our promises. It is here to show you exactly how our Multi-Year Strategic Plan aligns with provincial requirements and, more importantly, how that alignment translates into student success and well-being.
By opening these channels of communication, we foster a culture of continuous improvement. I am always looking for your constructive feedback on the direction and leadership of the board. This isn't about the work of one person; it is about the "Higher Purpose" that calls us all to this vocation. It’s about being "Better Together" and ensuring that the dignity of every human person is at the forefront of every decision we make.
Whether we are breaking ground on a new facility or celebrating a breakthrough in a classroom, I want you to see the direct connection between our board’s vision and the success of our students. Thank you for being the heart of our CommUnity.
Yours in Faith and Service,
Navigating the Connections
Throughout this issue, you will notice small sidebars labeled "Strategic Alignment." We have included these to provide transparency and show exactly how local initiatives connect back to our Multi-Year Strategic Plan (MYSP) and provincial Ministry requirements. I want to ensure that the logic behind our decisions is visible to you, demonstrating how we are held accountable to the trust you place in our leadership.
