SKILLS CANADA RESULTS

On May 6th, Melanie Weiler competed in Kitchener at the Province Wide Skills Ontario event amidst over 20,000 competitors and spectators. Melanie represented herself and Sacred Heart extremely well in the Culinary Arts Competition. She had to prepare a three-course meal, and there were 18 other competitors from across Ont. In this competition.

Congratulations to Melanie Weiler and Dan Mighton who recently competed in the Grey-Bruce Skills Challenge on March 28, 2008. Representatives from all 13 high schools in Grey-Bruce participated in the competition. Melanie finished 1st in the Board in the Culinary Arts Division and Dan finished 1st in the Board in the Welding Division.
Both Melanie and Dan advanced to the Regional Competition in Barrie in April. Melanie captured 3rd!
