BLUEWATER PLAYOFFS
Note: Short season and lack of refereeing availability does not
allow all ten teams to host regular season games. Host sites
have been selected by a combination of school desire to do so, who
has missed a chance to host in recent years, and field availability.
The following Preliminary BAA Playoff venues were chosen to give
two more schools the potential to host a day of rugby. However,
due to seeding from regular season play, those teams may not be
home playing that day. Therefore the actual #2 seed will then
be given the chance to host. It is important that League Convenor
contact Referee Assigner to firm up definite venue locations for
Wed May 9th if there are any changes to the locations for the preliminary
BAA playoffs.

- BLUEWATER CHAMPION QUALIFIES FOR CWOSSA
CWOSSA QUALIFICATION (IF NECESSARY)
1. CWOSSA QUALIFICATION - “
CWOSSA A/AA” representatives will be determined by
the following:
a) If an A/AA team wins or advances the furthest in the BAA championship playoffs that team will be the first CWOSSA rep.
b) If two A/AA schools advance to the B.A.A. championship game those schools qualify for C.W.O.S.S.A.
c) If two A/AA teams advance to the BAA Playoff Championship Day and these two teams are from the same division (ie North or South), then the 2nd highest finisher based on this day’s result must play a CWOSSA Qualifier (Fri May 23) against the highest finishing A/ AA school from the other division to determine the 2nd entry to CWOSSA. Regular season rankings will determine who these teams are if two teams were knocked out at the same stage within the playoff format. This qualifier will be hosted by the team from the South in the 2008 season. The venue of this qualifier will alternate to be held in the North in odd numbered years.
d) If the BAA Championship Playoffs result with two A/AA teams as the losing teams of both semi-final games and with one A/AA team advancing to the final, the team advancing to the final will be the first qualifier and the two semi-final losing teams will have to meet to play later that day ( May 21st ) to determine the 2nd rep to CWOSSA. Or, if only one A/ AA team qualifies for the BAA Championship Day then the two A/ AA teams who lost the final games of the Preliminary playoffs will have to play an A/AA CWOSSA qualifier on May 21st to determine the 2nd rep to CWOSSA.
2. CWOSSA QUALIFICATION – “
CWOSSA AAA representative will be determined by the following:
a) If an AAA team wins the BAA championship that team will be the
CWOSSA rep.
b) The AAA team that advances the furthest in the BAA championship
playoffs including preliminaries will be the CWOSSA rep.
c) If the BAA Championships result with two AAA teams as the losing
teams of both semi-final games, and with no AAA team advancing to
the final, these two teams will have to meet to play later that
day May 21st to determine who will become the CWOSSA rep. Or, if
no AAA teams qualify for the BAA Championship, the two top seeded
teams from regular season play will be scheduled to meet on May
21st to play an AAA CWOSSA qualifier to determine who will
play a challenge match on May 23rd from the #2 finisher of Districts
4 and 10. This challenge game must be played on this date.
