Sacred Heart Graduation News

Students are needed to assist with the planning of Graduation -- See Mrs. Mount a.s.a.p. and listen to announcements for details.

The graduation ceremony will take place at 7:00 pm, on Wednesday, June 27, 2007. The ceremony will be held at the Sacred Heart High School, gymnasium. An information meeting regarding details of graduation, and scholarships was held on Monday, April 16, for all potential graduates. Any student who missed this meeting should pick up their graduation information at the guidance office.

Graduating students are eligible to apply for a variety of awards. Application forms were available at the information meeting, and must be submitted at the Guidance office, by Friday, May 18, 2007.
The cost of graduation is $40.00. This covers the rental of a gown, a memento graduation cap, food for the reception, flowers, and decorations. Payment is due on or before May 31, 2007. Please pay Mrs. Kelly in the main office.

At the end of the school year, The Post (Hanover) and the Walkerton Herald Times will be publishing photos of our graduates. Students are required to complete the newspaper form and submit them with the $10.00 fee, at the guidance office, by May 31, 2007.

Returning students who graduated in June, 2007, but postponed their entry to post-secondary until September, 2007 are now eligible to apply for awards. Award application forms are available in the Guidance office.

Graduation Information
Students who are planning to graduate this year should confirm that they will meet all of the diploma requirements, including the 40 hours of community service. Very soon
Mrs. Mount will start meeting with the Graduation Committee to plan the event.
Graduating students who plan to go to college or university in September 2007, should be looking at the various scholarships and bursaries available. More information can
be found in the Guidance Office or by talking to Mrs. Mount.
Students who have applied to college or university should also check the OCAS or OUAC accounts occasionally to check for offers of admission.
