St. Anne's Invitational

On the last weekend of September, the senior girls basketball team traveled to Clinton for St. Anne's Invitational. in their first game the lady Crusaders beat F.E Madill 42-22. Laura Vanderwal led scorers with 18 points while Victoria Rogers added 14 points of her own Sacred Heart played Central Stratford next but lost in a hard ought match 43-18. Alanna Anstett led the offense with her 3 point shooting. In the last match, the Lady Crusaders took on Goderich district Collegiate Insititute. Despite their efforts and their energetic, but short bench outstanding offense kept the team in the game for the first three quarters. The seniors record is 3-2.

Girls win opening exhibition games

Tues. Sept. 19th, 2007 the Girls opened their basketball season hosting West Hill SS in an exhibition game.

Jr. Girls

The Lady Crusaders christened the new gym floor with a 38-30 victory over West Hill. Top scorers were Sammy Weber with 11 points, Carley Moore with 9 and Linda Black with 8. The Jrs. head to Toronto this weekend for a tournament before facing JDSS in the BAA opener next Wednesday.

Sr. Girls

The Senior Crusaders downed West Hill 33-22. Top scorer and rebounder was Laura Vanderwal with 11 pts. Sarah Pritchard and Victoria Rogers scored 6 apiece. The Srs. open league play Sept. 26 against JDSS before heading to Clinton for the St. Anne's Invitational Tournament
