Heart Girls Hockey 2007-08
Sacred Heart Lady Crusaders captured the BAA Playoff and League
titles this year with an impressive season.
In the BAA Finals the girls defeated West Hill 4-2 to seal the
title. In the semis, the Crusaders defeated Grey Highlands 2-1.
The team now travels to CWOSSA in Waterford/Port Dover on March
4/5th, 2008 to take on Our Lady of Lourdes at 1:00 and Port Dover
@ 5:00 on the 4th. Finals would be at Noon on March 5th.

Set. Teams from Guelph, Barrie, Stayner, Orangeville, Owen
Sound, Kincardine and Walkerton face off in Walkerton and
Mildmay on Thursday, January
10th, 2008.

Friday, Dec. 14 the Sacred Heart Crusaders
travelled to Chesley and brought home a 7-2 victory. Sacred
Heart is now 4-0 in BAA League Play.
Robin Harper had the natural hat trick and 1 assist to lead
the way for the Crusaders. Richelle Busby and Hayley Hill each
had one goal and 3 assists. Colleen Parks scored one and had
2 assists while Becca Feeney had a goal and an assist. Other
assists went to Lindsey Kieffer, Katrina Grubb, Erin Neil and
Shelby Collins.
SHHS Beats Cross Town Rivals 6-3
Sacred Heart defeated Walkerton DSS 6-3 in Girls Hockey on Tuesday.
Katrina Grubb had a hat trick and an assist for the Lady Crusaders.
Robin Harper had a goal and 2 assists. Meg Lennox had a goal
and an assist. Colleen Parks netted the other for Sacred Heart.
The girls were playing with only 4 subs but dominated play throughout,
peppering the W.D. goalie with shots like Mr. Orr seasons his
fries.
SHHS Defeats JDSS 5-1
In BAA Girls Hockey action on Monday, Nov. 26, 2007 the Sacred
Heart Crusaders defeated John Diefenbaker Trojans 5-1.
Katrina Grubb and Colleen Parks each netted two goals for Sacred
Heart and Grubb also earned an assist. Meg Lennox scored one
and had one assist and Richelle Busby had two helpers for Sacred
Heart. SHHS moves to 2 and 0 thanks to the goaltending of AJ
Anstett and Michelle Grubb and the consistent defensive play
of the Crusaders. Next game is Friday at the Bayshore
against St. Mary’s with a 2:00 start.
Crusaders Defeat Saugeen 4-1
The BAA Girls Hockey Season got underway Wednesday, Nov. 21st
with defending BAA champions Sacred Heart Crusaders from Walkerton
defeating Saugeen DSS from Port Elgin by a 4-1 score.
Goal scorers were Carly McArthur from Saugeen and from Sacred
Heart -- Colleen Parks with 2 goals and 1 assist, Robin Harper
with 1 goal and 3 assists, Richelle Busby with 1 goal. Christy
Pitt and Katrina Grubb with 1 assist each.
