Your Sacred Heart Senior Boys Hockey team defeated the Kincardine Knights yesterday, Tuesday, Nov. 26 2007 by a convincing score of 6-2. The first five minutes of the game however, had Mr. Orr looking like Bryan McCabe after one of his nifty cross-ice passes to the opposing team. Kincardine scored first as a result of a poor forecheck and multiple giveaways. Your Crusaders railed through, and exploded for three quick goals by Mitch Dentinger, Zach Bross, and Joe Moran. In the second period, Tristan Flachs scored a beauty from a crisp pass off the stick of Matt Thompson. Zach Bross added two more for the hat trick and dangled on one like Mr. Orr in '46 during the tiny tyke tournament of champions in Mount Forest. Your Crusaders will be in the Norwell tournament this weekend against a host of stiff competition on Friday and Saturday

Crusaders Open 2007-08 Regular Season with a Victory over WDSS

Your Senior Boys Hockey Team Defeated their cross-town rivals (Walkerton District) Thursday November 22, 2007 by a score of 3-2. The first goal was scored on the powerplay by a skilled pass from Mitch Dentinger and an even more skilled shot by Jordan Turcotte, who beat the Walkerton Goalie like a rented mule. Brad Keiffer streaked in from the boards a minute later and tucked it past the Walkerton goalie to make it 2-0. W.D. scored the next two goals and Mr. Orr suddenly was looking like Terry Crisp behind the bench of the dismal Toronto Maple Leafs. However, in the third period Mitch Dentinger scored the winning goal from a dandy pass from Matt Thompson. The Crusaders held of W.D. for the remainder of the game. Physical play was dominant by your Crusaders and big hits were thrown by likes of Joey Terwoord, Brandon Fischer, Tristan Flachs Mitch Collingridge and then Jordan Grubb, who caught a W.D. player in his trolley tracks, Making him feel every last gristle of steak in Grubb’s body. Tyler Tilker played a solid game in goal. Your Crusaders play Kincardine on Monday afternoon in Kincardine.

Next Game: Friday November 30, 2007 (Norwell Tournament)
