Welcome to St. Peter and St. Paul's Catholic School in Durham, Ontario. St. Peter and St. Paul's is a small rural school of 156 students enrolled in Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8.

In September 2005, our school had the distinction of being the winner of the provincial Schools in Bloom Competition. This achievement was the result of many people working together over a four year period. Staff, students, parents and community partners began with a memorial garden and continue to care for our environment.

Our school offers core French beginning in Junior Kindergarten as well as the full Ontario curriculum, infused with gospel values. Our students are on the pathway to meeting the Catholic Graduate Expectations by the end of secondary school.

With parents, priest and the community as our partners, we strive to educate the whole child giving careful thought to spiritual, academic, physical, social and emotional development. Together we grow in love and learning as we discover and celebrate our virtues.

We offer our students all of the traditional school sports. Soccer, cross-country running, volleyball, basketball, track and field are offered for both juniors (Gr. 4/5/6) and intermediates (Gr. 7/8). Our students participate in sports tournaments organized by the Bruce-Grey Catholic District School. We encourage all of our students to be active at recess.

Our students participate in speaking competitions, science fair and design and technology challenges. We have chess teams and a Board wide tournament in which our students compete.

Our staff is engaged in professional learning on an ongoing basis. Teachers participate in workshops and courses on assessment, literacy, numeracy and faith development and bring their knowledge and heart into the classroom.
