Community Use of School Facilities
The Program
Community Use of Schools is an initiative that supports access to school space outside of school hours for not-for-profit community groups.
It is the intent of the Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board to make Board owned facilities and grounds available for Community Use, provided that the normal educational programme and activities of the school are maintained.
The Rates for 2007-08
| Gymnasium | $122 per day |
| Classroom - full day | $24 per full day |
| Classroom - half day | $12 per half day |
| Custodial Services | $18.19 per hour - time and a half basis |
| Specialized Computer Labs up to 3 hours per day | $37 |
| Specialized Computer Labs in excess of 3 hours per day | $73 |
Rate Reductions
Under the Community Use of School Facilities Program, non-profit and/or community endorsed groups may be eligible for reduced rates.
Non-profit: a function from which the proceeds, if any, are used for charitable or community purposes.
Community Endorsed: a function which is endorsed by a municipal recreation authority, or in those townships without an established recreation authority, by a municipal council or by a recognized community association.

Forms are to be completed and taken to the school at which time the availability of the space for Community Use will be determined. (Blank forms also available at each school)
