Norm Bethune Receives Prestigious Award
Justice Higgins Award Presented in Regina Saskatchewan June 4
Posted on 06/07/2011
Norm Bethune, Chair of the Board for the Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board, was presented the prestigious Justice Higgins award at the Canadian Catholic School Trustees' Association Annual Meeting in Regina Saskatchewan June 4.
Norm, along with his wife Nancy and children Mike and Ann entered the hall in a procession lead by the Royal Mounted Police. It was a night to remember for all those in attendance, and everyone at the Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board is extremely proud of Norm's accomplishments. His name now joins the list of many distinguished recipients since the award's inception in 1974, including His Eminence, G.E. Cardinal Carter, Rev. Raymond Durocher, and Sr. Joan Cronin to name just a few.
The Justice James Higgins Award is the highest honour provided by CCSTA. It reflects recognition of an exceptional contribution to Catholic education in this country.
Congratulations Norm!
