Director Bruce MacPherson Delays Retirement
Posted on 06/20/2012
Bruce MacPherson has announced that he has delayed his retirement as Director of Education at the request of the Board of Trustees. His resignation was to have taken effect at the end of August 2012.

“Due to these uncertain times in education, we, as a Board of Trustees, feel that now is not the time for a change in leadership at Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board”, stated Norm Bethune, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees. “Education Minister Laurel Broten has announced that the Ministry will be commencing a consultation process to restructure and amalgamate school boards by September 2013. With 30 years of service to this Board, we feel that Bruce MacPherson is the individual to lead us through this process. His democratic and consultative leadership style will guide and support us through this year of transition.”

“I want to thank the Trustees for their faith in me as a Catholic leader”, stated Bruce. “I look forward to working with our system leaders to continue our work in the best interests of students, staff and our Catholic school community.”
