The students, parents, and staff of the Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board,
welcome you as a valued member of our Catholic learning community.

On June 1, 2006, the Ontario government passed the Student Performance Act, requiring all publicly funded school boards to offer  the New Teacher Induction Program (NTIP) to their new teachers and that all new teachers participate in the program.

The Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board is committed to ensuring that NTIP’s three induction elements are rooted in the Gospel and in the traditions of our Catholic faith. We believe that to learn and work within a community of faith is to let your light shine. To help our students let their light shine, it is our expectation that our staff will teach by example as well as by precept - to illuminate the way for our students and ignite in them a life-long passion for learning.

The Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board, as part of the Catholic School system of the province, has a distinctive mission in educating young people. Within our rich heritage and tradition of Christian faith, we strive to call forth and develop in our students all the necessary skills, attitudes and literacies which will enable them to live a faithful and fulfilling life in contemporary society.

Catholic education has a moral purpose; together, we work towards the goal of forming our students so that as they graduate from our schools, they will be discerning believers, responsible citizens, effective communicators, collaborative learners, caring family members, reflective, creative, holistic thinkers, and self-directed, responsible lifelong learners.

Your continued spiritual development is as important as your on-going professional development. Each September, all of our employees come together to nurture faith, celebrate friendship and learn from inspirational speakers in our annual Board-wide Faith Formation Day. Within the individual school communities, staff members further enrich their faith through various retreat and community building experiences.
Remember that we are, each one of us, what we repeatedly do. "Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit." Aristotle

Welcome to Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board!
